The details that make it work

The corduroy shell is a wide-wale weave, which holds its ridge and colour better through repeated wear than a flat weave does. A quilted, padded lining runs through the body and sleeves for real insulation, not just a heavier fabric layer. Cut with a relaxed, slightly boxy fit that layers easily over a jumper, with a stand collar, full-zip closure backed by a row of snap buttons, and elasticated ribbed cuffs and a drawstring hem to keep the cold out.
